Lilac Garden Scarf

Don't you just love lilac season? Inspired by my own garden, this scarf will boom all year long. The spring green stripe adds just a touch of fun, like a squeeze of lime in your drink!

This scarf is made of a light, soft cotton/viscose blend called Sanibel, by Classic Elite Yarns. It has a wonderful drape, and it's nice and lightweight. It measures a generous 98 inches across the wingspan, and about 15 inches deep at the slightly off-center point. Wear it in all sorts of ways, to show off the green bit, the randomly placed open lace rows, and the gently wavy hem.

Hand wash, dry flat, shaping the edge waves into place.

Sunny Day Scarf

I made this during what I hope was the last few days of spring-that-looks-like-winter. It rained and rained and never got light. All I wanted was sun, so I had to knit my own.

Perfect for between-season wear, this scarf is made of super soft organic cotton (yellow), and cotton/acrylic blend (off-white). The simple asymmetrical design is accented by a smattering of openwork lace rows, like rays of sunshine. The picot edge along the yellow side adds some playful texture. It measures about 77 x 14 inches. Wear it as a scarf, with the point in front, or as a slender shawl to cover your shoulders.
